HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 365, Ordinance Number 73-12-903365 l/ ORDINANCE NO. 73-12-003 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF URBAN RENEWAL & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT NO. 8, BLOCK NO. 2 OF VAUGHN'S ADDITION, LOCATED ON YEISER STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $124.50, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERIC TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky, in the amount of $124.50, to purchase the interest of the City in the following described property, be accepted, said land being described as follows: Lot No. 8 in Block No. 2 of Vaughn's Addition, fronting 40 feet on the north side of Yeiser Street 80 feet west of Main Street, and as shown on page 16 of Block Map Book 6 in the office of the City Engineer. See Commissioner's Deed Book 11, page 316. Being the same land (Maggie Bacon and Otha Bacon property) conveyed to the City of Paducah by Benjamin C. LeRoy, City Treasurer, by deed dated September 6, 1972, and of record in Deed Book 544, page 599, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $124.50 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky, all the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, but said Deed of Conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
