ORDINANCE NO. 73-11-901
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR
SALE TO THE CITY OF NINE (9) NEW 1974 FOUR DOOR AUTOMOBILES AND ONE (1)
NEW 1974 STATION WAGON FOR USE IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Allan
Rhodes, Inc. for the sale to the City of nine (9) new 1974 four -door automobiles, and
one (1) new 1974 station wagon for use in the Police Department, in the total net price
of $23,959.99, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications
and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of
Commissioners on October 9, 1973, and as contained in the bids of Allan Rhodes, Inc.
dated October 20, 1973.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Allan Rhodes, Inc. for the sale to the City of the equipment
authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
