HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 326, Ordinance Number 73-10-888ORDINANCE NO. 73-10-888 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF I4OBSON AVENUE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of Hobson Avenue, situated in said City and described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the west right of way line of Vasseur Avenue with the south right of way line of Hobson Avenue, said point being N 15 degrees 18 minutes E 142.09 feet from the intersection of the west right of way line of Vasseur Avenue with the north right of way line of Irvin Cobb Drive; thence N 61 degrees 37 minutes W with the south right of way line of Hobson Avenue a distance of 750.6 feet to the east right of way line of an unnamed street: thence S 28 degrees 23 minutes W a distance of 138.4 feet with the right of way line of said street to the north right of way line of Irvin Cobb Drive; thence N 61 degrees 37 minutes W with the north right of way line of Irvin Cobb Drive a distance of 50 feet to the intersection of the west right of way line of the unnamed street with the north right of way line of Irvin Cobb Drive; thence N 28 degrees 23 minutes F a distance of 188.4 feet to the point of intersection of the north right of way line of Robson Avenue with the west right of way line of the unnamed street; thence S 61 degrees 37 minutes E along the north right of way line of Hobson Avenue a distance of 789.0 feet to the intersection of the north right of way line of Hobson Avenue with the west right of way line of Vasseur Avenue; thence S 15 degrees 18 minutes W with the west right of way line of Vasseur Avenue a distance of 51.33 feet to the beginning. SECTION 2. That the closing of Hobson Avenue is subject to the retention of the City of Paducah of a 15 foot public utility easement along the center line of said portion of Hobson Avenue running parallel with the Beltline Ilighway, and retention of a 40 foot storm sewer easement now crossing Hobson Avenue. SECTION 3. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the portion of the street described in Section 1 hereof. its adoption. SECTION 4.
