A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE OFFER OF THE FISCAL COURT
OF McCRACKEN COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE $24,000.00 ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO THE
COLEMAN ROAD SEWER EXTENSION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING AN EQUAL SHARE
OF SEWER TAP -ON FEES FOR McCRACKEN COUNTY UNTIL RECOVERY OF SAID SUM
WHEREAS, the increased cost for construction of the Coleman Road Sewer
Extension Project (Project No. FDA 04-1-01009) exceeded preliminary estimates to the
extent that it was impossible for the City of Paducah to fund the local share of the
project alone, and
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Court of McCracken County has agreed to contribute
the sum of $24,000.00 to assist in the payment of the extra cost,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION I. That the City of Paducah gratefully acknowledges the offer
of the Fiscal Court of McCracken County to contribute the sum of $24, 000.00 to pay
a portion of the local share of the cost of the Coleman Road Sewer Extension Project.
SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah agrees to hereafter fix sewer tap -on
fees for connections to the sewer extension line, with the exception of the Coleman Road
Industrial Park, and to share all such fees with McCracken County on an equal basis
until the sum of $24,000.00 has been repaid to the County Treasurer in full.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
