HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 324, Ordinance Number 73-9-887ORDINANCE NO. 73-9-887 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN REFUSE DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS, AND AUTHORIZING ITS SALE TO WALTON SANITARY SERVICE OF RICHMOND, KENTUCKY, FOR THE SUM OF $5,000.00 WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has heretofore declared as surplus all single load type dempster dumpster equipment as has been used in the City of Paducah Refuse Department and advertised for bids for the sale of such property, and WHEREAS, no bids were received in response to the advertisement, but Ralph Walton, d/b/a Walton Sanitary Service of Richmond, Kentucky, has now offered the sum of $5,000.00 for the obsolete equipment including eighty-four (84) dumpster containers, three (3) hoist, and one (I) 1956 International truck; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the eighty-four (84) dumpster containers, three (3) hoist, and one (1) 1956 International truck be, and they are hereby, declared to be surplus equipment of the Refuse Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept the offer of Ralph Walton d/b/a Walton Sanitary Service of Richmond, Kentucky, in the amount of $5,000.00 for the purchase of said surplus property, and to take all necessary steps to effect the sale and disposal of said property. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and retroactive to September 15, 1973.
