ORDINANCE NO. 73-8-877
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A JOINT CONTRACT
WITH THE COUNTY OF McCRACKEN AND COMMUNITY PROGRAM CONSULTANTS., INC.
FOR PLANNING AND ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES, IN CONDUCTING A STUDY
RELATING TO THE FEASIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING A PORT FACILITY, PORT OF ENTRY,
AND FOREIGN TRADE ZONE IN PADUCAH-McCRACICEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY, AND
PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SUCH CONTRACT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
to execute a joint contract with the County of McCracken and Community Program
Consultants, Inc., whereby Community Program Consultants, Inc. shall provide
planning and engineering consulting services in conducting a study relating to the
feasibility of establishing a port facility, port of entry and foreign trade zone in
Paducah -McCracken County, Kentucky, and wherein the City of Paducah shall
contribute an amount not to exceed $22,500.00 as compensation for said consulting
services.
SECTION 2. That Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 9094
be charged with this expense.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
