HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 309, Ordinance Number 73-8-875309/ ORDINANCE NO. 73-8-875 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CHARLES COLE, 3711 CLARKS RIVER ROAD, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY IN CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING BETWEEN ARIZONA STREET AND VIRGINIA STREET FOR THE SUM OF $350.00, AND AUTHORIZING TRE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Charles Cole on the amount of $350.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following described land be accepted: The tract herein conveyed is a part of Lots 13 and 14, Block 5 in L. D. Sanders Woodlawn Addition as recorded in Plat Book "A", page 285 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office and is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point located in the north right-of-way line of Carolina Street 79.09 feet east of the intersection of the north right-of-way line of Carolina Street with the east right-of-way line of Arizona Street; thence north 3 degrees 33 minutes west 155.61 feet with the east right-of-way of the floodwall property to a point in the south right-of-way line of a 15 foot alley; thence south 78 degrees 07 minutes east 62.32 feet with the south right-of-way line of said 15 foot alley to a point; thence south 11 degrees 53 minutes west 150 feet to a point in the north right-of-way line of Carolina Street; thence north 78 degrees 07 minutes west 20.91 feet with the north right-of-way line of Carolina Street to the point of beginning. Being part of the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah by L. D. Sanders and wife, Anna H. Sanders on November 14, 1938, as recorded in Deed Book 200, page 114, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $350.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Charles Cole all of the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section I hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3.
