ORDINANCE NO. 73-8-874
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, WITH MARCUM & FULLER,
ASSOCIATES, FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BLACKBURN
PARK SWIMMING POOL
WHEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Marcum & Fuller Associates has submitted
to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a standard form of agreement between the Owner and
Engineer for professional engineering services to be rendered in the construction of a
swimming pool to be located at Blackburn Park in Paducah, Kentucky, which proposed
agreement has been received and filed with the Minutes of this Board, and
WHEREAS, said proposed agreement has been found to be in a standard form
and appropriate for the services required.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to to execute an Agreement between the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and Marcum
& Fuller, Associates, for engineering services in the construction of a swimming pool
to be located at Blackburn Park in Paducah, Kentucky, said contract being verbatim
and in all respects identical to the proposed Agreement which has been received and filed
with the 'Minutes of this Board Meeting, and which proposed Agreement is adopted
herein by reference.
SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
