ORDINANCE NO. 73-8-870
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR THE
SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE 1974 FORD 3/4 TON TRUCK FOR THE USE BY THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of
Allan Rhodes, Inc. for the sale to the City of One 1974 3/4 ton truck for use by the
Fire Department,said bid being in the amount of $3,500.00 with an allowance of $600.00
for the trade-in of a 1968 Buick automobile, with the net cash price of said bid being
$2,900.00, said bid being dated August 2, 1973, and in compliance with the resolution
and specifications for such bid as was previously adopted by the Board of Commissioners.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Allan Rhodes, Inc. for the purchase of the motor vehicle set
forth in Section 1 above according to the bid, specifications and all contract documents
relating thereto.
SECTION 3. That Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 2214 be
charged with the expense.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one
week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if
adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
