HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 294, Ordinance Number 73-8-867294 % ORDINANCE NO. 73-8-887 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIMAR PAVING COMPANY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BUCKNER LANE FROM VINE STREET TO COUNTRY CLUB LANE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE. A CONTRACT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar Paving Company for the improvement of Buckner Lane from Vine Street to Country Club Lane in the total sum of $55,709.45, said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution authorizing bids, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on July 10, 1973, and said bid being dated and received July 30, 1973. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company for the improvement of Buckner Lane between Vine Street and Country Club Lane, which contract shall be in compliance with Section 1 above, the resolution authorizing bids, plans and specifications, and the bid of Jimar Paving Company. SECTION 3. The cost of this project shall be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No.3454. SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
