HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 289, Ordinance Number 73-7-86329� ORDINANCE NO. 73-7-863 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE USE BY TRAILERS AND SEMI -TRAILERS, DURING CERTAIN HOURS OF EACH DAY, ON CERTAIN SECTIONS OF KENTUCKY AVENUE, BROADWAY, JEFFERSON STREET, SECOND STREET, THIRD STREET, FOURTH STREET, FIFTH STREET, AND SEVENTH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON SEPTEMBER 8, 1953, AND AMENDED ON SEPTEMBER 15, 1953, AND LATER AMENDED ON OCTOBER 6, 1953. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted on September 8, 1953, and amended on September 15, 1953, and later amended on October 6, 1953, be, and the same is hereby, amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, company or corporation to, at any time between the hours of 8 o'clock a.m., and 5:30 o'clock p.m., seven days per week , operate any motor truck of more than a four tom capacity or truck tractor with either a semi- trailer or trailer attached thereto, as defined in Section 1, without being escorted by a police cruiser, upon the following streets in the City of Paducah, Kentucky: Kentucky Avenue between Third Street and Sixth Street Broadway between Second Street and Seventh Street Jefferson Street between Third Street and Sixth Street Third Street between Kentucky Avenue and Jefferson Street Fourth Street between Kentucky Avenue and Jefferson Street Fifth Street between Kentucky Avenue and Jefferson Street Seventh Street between Kentucky Avenue and Broadway" SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
