A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) LEAF LOADING MACHINES AND SIX (6) REMOVABLE
LEAF BEDS, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE
MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to advertise for bids for the purchase of three (3) leaf loading machines and six (6)
removable leaf beds, with each of the foregoing items having the minimum specifications
as prescribed by the specifications now on file in the office of the City Manager, City
Hall, Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by notice
posted at the City Hall door and by publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. No bids
shall be opened within ten days of the date on which the resolution is adopted, and no
bids shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening of bids. All bids received
by the City Manager up to the time for opening of same shall be filed with the Board of
Commissioners who may let a contract to the best responsible bidder. The City shall
have the right to refuse and reject any and all bids.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
