HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 258, Ordinance Number 73-6-843us i ORDINANCE NO. 73-6-843 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DEED OF DEDICATION FROM JOHN P, CAMPBELL TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR PURPOSES OF CREATING A CITY PARK AS A MEMORIAL TO THE DATE SARA CAMPBELL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the Deed of Dedication, dated February 16, 1973, between John P. Campbell, party of the first part, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a municipal corporation, party of the second part, for the purposes of creating a city park as a memorial to the late Sara Campbell on the following described properly lying and being in the City of Paducah: A unit of 3 lots, Nos. 20, 21 and 22 of Block 4, of Rowlandtown Addition to the City of Paducah, as shown by plat of property of F. B. Smith. Said lots being located at the Southeast intersection of Langstaff Avenue and 14th Street, fronting 150 feet on Langstaff Avenue and running back with uniform width 165.5 feet to an alley. Lot No. 20 above referred to is the same property conveyed to the party of the first part by Emalene Tel le and others by Bessie Roberts, Attorney- in-fact by deed dated December 16, 1972 and recorded in Deed Book 547, page 407, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. Lot No. 21 above referred to is the same property conveyed to party of the first part by Frankie D. Baker and wife, Dorothy by deed dated December 3, 1970 and recorded in Deed Book 524, page 300, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. Lot No. 22 above referred to is the same property conveyed to the party of the first part by John Pearce Campbell V, dated September 25, 1972 and recorded in Deed Book 545, page 333, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to have the Deed of Dedication recorded in the office of the McCracken County Court Clerk, and to send a certified copy of this Ordinance to John P. Campbell, Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
