HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 245, Ordinance Number 73-6-833245',— ORDINANCE 45r ORDINANCE NO. 73-6-833 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MANNING EQUIPMENT, INC., FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE 20 CUBIC YARD, AND ONE 16 CUBIC YARD REFUSE PACKER BODY, FOR USE BY THE REFUSE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Manning Equipment, Inc., for sale to the City of one (1) 20 cubic yard, and one (1) 16 cubic yard refuse packer body, for use by the Refuse Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. Said bid being in the amount of $7, 005.00 for one (1) 20 cubic yard packer body and ISI $6,825.00 for one (1) 16 cubic yard refuse packer body. Said bids are in substantial compliance with bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on May 8, 1973, and as contained in the bid of Manning Equipment, Inc., dated May 29, 1973.1 SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Manning Equipment, Inc., for sale to the City of one 20 cubic yard and one 16 cubic yard refuse packer body, for use by the Refuse Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all requirements heretofore approved and incorporated in said bid. SECTION 3. The items authorized to be purchased in Section 1 above shall be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 3514. SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
