HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 242, Ordinance Number 73-5-831242/ ORDINANCE NO. 73-5-831 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HARPER E ARTERBURN, INC., FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF WASHINGTON STREET, JACKSON STREET, ADAMS STREET AND 21ST THROUGH 25TH STREETS (CONTRACT NO. 2 - 1973 S.I.P.) AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Harper E Arterburn, Inc. for the improvement of Washington Street, Jackson Street, Adams Street and 21st through 25th Streets, (Contract No. 2 - 1973 S.I.P.) in the total sum of $194, 672.00 said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution authorizing bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on May 1, 1973, said bid being dated and received May 21, 1973. SECTION 2.That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Harper E Arterburn, Inc, for the improvement of Washington Street, Jackson Street, Adams Street and 21st through 25th Streets (Contract No. 2 - 1973 S.I.P.) which contract shall be in compliance with Section 1 above, the resolution authorizing bids, plans and specifications, and the bid of Harper E Arterburn, Inc. SECTION 3. The cost of this project shall be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 3454. SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
