HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 24, Ordinance Number 73-1-74724 ORDINANCE NO. 73-1-747 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1972-73 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL FIRE CODES, VOLUMES 1 THROUGH 10, RECOMMENDED BY THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, Section 82-080 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes provides that the legislative bodies of cities of all classes have the power and authority to adopt traffic, building, plumbing, electrical and other codes by reference, providing that legal notice of the meeting at which same is to be adopted has been given in a newspaper published or of general circulation in said city, and WHEREAS, it is the desire, intent and purpose of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to adopt by reference the aforesaid code, and WHEREAS, the notice required by the above statute section was published in the Sun -Democrat, a newspaper published in and of general circulation in Paducah, Kentucky, on January 16, 1973. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the 1972-73 Edition of the National Fire Codes, Volumes 1 through 10, recommended by the National Fire Protection Association is hereby adopted by reference, and is made a part of the public records of said city by this ordinance. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication.
