HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 239, No Resolution Number239 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE KENTUCKY BUREAU OF HIGHWAYS PERTAINING TO OBLIGATIONS WHICH WILL BE ASSUMED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH PERTAINING TO AN ACCESS STREET INTO LITTLEVILLEl WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has requested that the Kentucky Bureau of Highways I a construct an access street into Littleville, which would include a grade separation for the existing railroad track crossing, and WHEREAS, the Kentucky Bureau of Highways has requested assurances from the j I City of Paducah that the City will assume certain responsibilities allowing construction of said access street, and I WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners feels that it is in the best interest of the City of Paducah that said road be constructed, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:i' SECTION 1. That upon the Kentucky Bureau of Highway's design of and commitment to construction of an access street out of the Littleville area of Paducah, (said street would run from the intersection of Bloom Avenue and Fulton Street to the ! intersection of Fir and Lincoln Street, an would include a grade separation crossing I of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad tracks), the City of Paducah will assume the following obligations: j 1. The City of Paducah, Kentucky, will obtain the necessary right-of-way required for the proposed project with the exception of that owned by the I Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. I 2. The City of Paducah, Kentucky will pay for any required public utility i I relocations. SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
