ORDINANCE NO. 73-1-746
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AN ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN SOUTH 16TH
STREET AND SHORT 16TI-I STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize
the closing of an alley in said City described as follows:
Beginning at the point of an intersection of the north
right-of-way line of a 25 foot alley with the west
right-of-way line of Short 16th Street, said point being
a distance of 388.5 feet south of the south right-of-way
line of Clark Street; thence in a southwesterly direction
with the north alley right-of-way line a distance of 163.93
feet to a common corner of another 25 foot alley; thence
in a southerly direction a distance of 30.46 feet with the
alley right-of-way line; thence in a northeasterly direction
a distance of 148.16 feet with the alley right-of-way line
to the point of intersection of this line with the west
right-of-way line of Short 16th Street; thence in a northerly
direction with the Short 16th Street right-of-way line a
distance of 29.27 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute and prosecute, pursuant
to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the
closing of the alley described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
