HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 224, Ordinance Number 73-5-824Z24 ORDINANCE NO. 73-5-824 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE "TOWNLIFT COMMITTEE" FOR PURPOSES OF ASSISTING AND COORDINATING WITH TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY AND OTHER APPROPRIATE ORGANIZATIONS, IN PREPARING A LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING PLAN FOR THE DOWNTOWN AREA BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. ESTABLISHMENT. There is hereby established the "Townlift Committee" for purposes of assisting and coordinating with the Tennessee Valley Authority and other appropriate organizations, in the development of a downtown lighting and landscaping plan. This Board shall consist of not less than eight (8) members who shall be appointed by the Mayor. One of such members shall be designated by the Mayor as Chairman of the Townlift Committee. The Townlift Committee shall meet at such times as it may determine, or upon call of the Chairman thereof, and shall have the powers and duties granted to it by Statute or by direction of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2. TERM The Townlift Committee shall be in effect for a period of one year unless extended by the Board of Commissioners. its adoption. SECTION 3.
