HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 210, Ordinance Number 73-5-818210 i ORDINANCE NO. 73-5- 818 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 31-56 OF ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 31, "VEHICLES FOR HIRE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, WHICH WAS ADOPTED ON JANUARY 29, 1952 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 31-56 of Article III of Chapter 31 "Vehicles for hire", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that it shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 31-56. General qualifications of applicant. Each applicant for a taxi driver's license must be of the age of 18 years or over, and must be clean in dress and person. The applicant must not have been convicted of a felony within the last five years immediately preceding the date of his application, but this requirement may be waived by the Chief of Police if, in his opinion, the facts warrant such a waiver. The applicant must hold all state licenses required to qualify as a taxicab driver, must be able to read, write and speak the English language, and must furnish all information required of this division". SECTION 2.
