HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 190, No Resolution Number190 r A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR EIGHT (8) OUTSIDE LIGHT FIXTURES FOR THE CIVIC CENTER PARKING LOT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for eight (8) outside light fixtures for use in the Civic Center Parking Lot, said light fixtures to have the following minimum specifications: The fixtures shall be Sterner, catalog number KSC-3001-10.OSQ, 300 watt incandescent. Fixtures shall be post mounted on surface hinged base. Color of fixture and base to be anodized black. Mat- erial shall be mold cast or equal. Each bidder shall state the total price bid for the fixtures, f.o.b. City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, and shall refer to or include all applicable federal or state taxes. Each bidder shall state the expected delivery date, and delivery dates will be considered in awarding the bid. The successful bidder shall furnish the City of Paducah with the factory shop drawings for the mounting foundations. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by notice posted at the City Hall Door and by publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. No bid shall be opened within ten days from the date on which the resolution is adopted, and no shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time for opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Com- missioners who may let a contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The City shall have the right to refuse and reject any and all bids. SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
