HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 148, Ordinance Number 73-3-787148 ORDINANCE NO. 73-3-787 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIMAR PAVING COMPANY FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH RESURFACING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar Paving Company for resurfacing various streets in the City of Paducah, including the raising and resetting of manholes, in the total sum of $126,962.50, said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution authorizing bids which was adopted by the Board of Com- missioners on February 13, 1973, said bid being dated and received March 19, 1973. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company for the resurfacing of said streets and for the raising and resetting of manholes, which contract shall be in compliance with Section 1 above, the Resolution authorizing bids, plans and specifications, and the bid of Jimar Paving Company dated March 19, 1973. SECTION 3. The cost of this project shall be paid from the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Account. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
