HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 141, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BRANDEIS MACHINERY & SUPPLY CORPORATION FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) RUBBER TIRED END LOADER FOR USE IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Brandeis Machinery & Supply Corporation for sale to the City of one (1) new Model H30, Series "B" Payloader for the purchase price of $16,900.00, less an allowance for a trade-in of a 1955 Payloader in the amount of $750.00, for a net price of $16,150.00, plus applicable Kentucky Sales Tax, said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution authorizing bids adopted by the Board of Commissioners on February 27, 1973, and having the specifications set out in the bid of Brandeis Machinery and Supply Corporation dated March 7, 1973. SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Brandeis Machinery & Supply Corporation according to the said resolution and said bid as set forth in Section 1 above. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
