ORDINANCE NO. 73-3-779
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTIONS (a) AND (c) OF SECTION 2-54
"AUTOMATIC AND PROGRESSIVE INCREASE FOR APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES", OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That sub -section (a) of Section 2-54 "Automatic and
progressive increase for appointive employees", of the Code of Ordinances
City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said sub-
section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 2-54. Automatic and progressive increase for appointive
employees.
(a) From and after April 1, 1973, all appointive employees
of the city, with the exception of the city manager, members of the
police department, members of the fire department and switchboard
operators of the fire department, shall have the following automatic
and progressive increase in salary"
$1.00 per month for each complete year of continuous service
up to and including a total of twenty (20) years.
SECTION 2. That sub -section (b) of Section 24 of the Code of
Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that
said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"(c) The increases provided for inthis section shall begin
for the pay period beginning April 1, 1973, and thereafter, as each
employee reaches the next stage as provided for in sub -section (a)
hereof, the pay raise provided for such stage shall become immediately
effective."
SECTION 3. This ordinance amends an ordinance adopted March 22, 1966
and last amended by ordinance No. 70-4-314 adopted April 14, 1970.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on
and after April 1, 1973.
