HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 11, No Resolution Number1�— A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY THE POLICE AND FIREMEN'S RETIREMENT FUND AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO 27.341A OF THE PREVIOUS MONTH'S SALARIES OF ALL POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN COVERED BY SAID FUND, RETROACTIVE TO JANUARY 1, 1973 WHEREAS, on Thursday, January 4, 1973, the Mayor and Board of Commissioners met with the officers and directors of the Paducah Policemen and Firemen's Retirement Fund, and WHEREAS, a "City of Paducah Police and Firemen's Retirement Fund Actuarial valuation", dated December 31, 1971, made by Meidinger and Associates, Incorporated, was studied and discussed, and WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Board of Commissioners has agreed with the conclusion of said report to increase the City's contribution to said fund in an amount equal to 27.34% of the previous month's salaries of all policemen and firemen covered by said fund retroactively to January 1, 1973, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed, as soon as possible and each month hereafter, and retroactive to January 1, 1973, to pay to the Police and Firemen's Retirement Fund an amount equal to 27.34% of the previous month's salaries of all policemen and firemen covered by the retirement plan. SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
