HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 1062, Ordinance Number 75-12-12041062 ORDINANCE NO. 75-12-1204 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ARTICLE XXII "CITIZENS EMERGENCY R FAMILY SERVICE COMMITTEE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PA KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF TIIE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. There is hereby created and established ARTICLE XXII "Citizens Emergency Relief - Family Service Committee of the Code of Ordinances o City of Pnducah, Kentucky, which shall read as follows: 'ARTICLE XXII. Citizens Emergency Relief - Family Service Cor Sec. 2-355. Establishment. There is hereby established and created a citizens emergency r family service committee of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. Sec. 2-356. Purpose. The purpose of said committee is to provide emergency aid to transients and citizens of Paducah and McCracken County on a one time Sec. 2-357. Appointment and terms of members. The citizens emergency relief - family service committee shall I posed of a representative of each agency dealing with human needs; thr citizens of the Paducah -McCracken County Area; a representative of the a representative of the County, and a representative of the Community ( The Mayor, together with the concurrence of the County .Judge, is hereby :authorized and directed to appoint the aforesaid members. Sec. 2-358. Vacancies in office. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments are made.. The members of the committee shall serve for terms of two (2) years. Sec. 2-359. '.`:ember:, to serve without compensation. The members of the citizens emergency - family service committee shall serve without compensation. Sec. 2-360. Not to incur debts to be paid by City. The citizens emergency relief - family service committee shall not incur any indebtedness to be paid by the City, and the City shall not be responsible i for any debts incurred by the committee." , SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
