ORDINANCE NO. 75-11-1194
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR SALE
TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) NEN 1976 AUTOMOBILE FOR USE BY THE CHIEF
OF POLICE, AND NINE NEW 1976 AUTOMOBILES TO BE USED AS POLICE VEHICLES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bids of Allan Rhodes, Inc.
for sale to the City of one new 1976 Ford LTD 4 -door automobile for use by the Chief of
Police, and nine new 1976 Ford Custom 500 4 -door automobiles (including police
packages) to be used as police vehicles, at the total net price of $35,504.58, said
bids being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for
bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on
October 21, 1.975, and as contained in the bids of Allan Rhodes, Inc. dated October 30,
1975 and October 31, 1975.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Allan Rhodes, Inc. for sale to the City of the equipment
authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. The purchase
price for said equipment shall be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Account
No. 2114.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
