HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 1035, Ordinance Number 75-11-11911035 V ORDINANCE NO. 75-11-1191 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 2-129 "ASSIGNMENT OF ASSISTANTS"; SECTION 2-130 "DUTIES OF ASSISTANT ASSIGNED TO CIVIL MATTERS"; SECTION 2-131 "DUTIES OF ASSISTANT ASSIGNED TO POLICE COURT" AND SECTION 2-132 "CLERICAL ASSISTANCE" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND REENACTING A NEW SECTION 2-129 i "ASSIGNMENTS AND DUTIES OF ASSISTANT CORPORATION COUNSELS". BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. Section 2-129 "Assignment of assistants"; Section 2-130 "Duties of assistant assigned to civil matters"; Section 2-131 "Duties of assistant assigned to police court" and Section 2-132 "Clerical assistance" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, are hereby repealed. SECTION 2. A new Section 2-129 entitled "Assignments and duties of assistant corporation counsels" is hereby enacted so that said section shall I hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 2-129. Assignment and duties of assistant corporation I counsels. Assistant corporation counsels shall be assigned to the handling of both civil and criminal matters as may be designated by the Corporation Counsel, In the event of the absence of the Corporation Counsel from the city, or when he is not available, the City Manager may designate an assistant corporation counsel to perform all duties imposed upon the corporation counsel. Corporation counsels shall be authorized such clerical and stenographical assistance at the City Hall as may be approved by the city manager and as is required for the efficient handling of legal affairs of the city. • SECTION 3. This ordinance shall he in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
