BIDS FOR A MAJOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
advertise for bids for a major sidewalk improvement project in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, hereinafter known as the Townlift Project, notifying all bidders as to the
date and terms upon which bids will be received, and further informing said bidders
that all contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications, are on
file at the office of the City Engineer, City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by
notice posted at the City Hall door and by publication pursuant to the provisions of
KRS Chapter 24 and KRS 94.306. No bid shall be opened within ten days from the
date on which this resolution is adopted, and no bid shall be received after the hour
fixed for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fo:
opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract
to the best responsible bidder. The City shall have the right to reject all bids and
readvertise and may further require cash deposits or other guarantees from bidders
to insure compliance with their bids, with forfeitures to the City if the accepted bidde
fails to comply with his bid.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its adoption.
