ORDINANCE No. 73-3-773
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOHN R. SHELTON, D/B/A
SHELTON FORD TRACTOR, FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH A
LAWN AND GARDEN TRACTOR FOR USE BY THE CITY CEMETERY DEPARTMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of John R.
Shelton, d/b/a Shelton Ford Tractor, in the amount of $1,170.00 for
furnishing the City of Paducah with a new Ford Lawn & Garden Tractor
with a 36 inch mower with 2 synchronized blades, one (1) belt and a
cutting range of 1'h to 4 inches. Also specification sheets shall be
furnished for the item. Said bid being in substantial compliance with
the specifications set out in the resolution dated February 13, 1973,
adopted by the Board of Commissioners authorizing bids, and as contained
in the bid of John R. Shelton, d/b/a Shelton Ford Tractor, dated
February 24, 1973, which was received and filed with the Minutes of the
meeting of February 27, 1973.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with John R. Shelton d/b/a Shelton Ford Tractor,
for the purchase of the item set out in Section 1 above, according
to said resolution and said bid.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
