HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 1023, No Resolution Number1023 r A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF NINE (9) 1976 FOUR DOOR AUTOMOBILES TO BE USED AS PATROL VEHICLES FOR THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND ONE (1) 1976 FOUR IOOR AUTOMOBILE TO BE USED BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF ?ADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and iirected to advertise for bids for sale to the City of Paducah of nine (9) 1976 four door automobiles to be used as patrol vehicles for the Paducah Police Department, and one (1) 1976 four door automobile to be used by the Chief of Police, having the minimum specifications according to the specifications attached hereto and by reference incor- )orated herein. SECTION 2. Each bid received shall designate the amount per vehicle with and without allowances for trade-ins of those vehicles now belonging to the City of 'aducah and which are more specifically described in the specifications attached iereto and by reference incorporated herein. The City of Paducah reserves the ,ight to accept or reject any and all bids with or without trade-in allowances. SECTION 3. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in the Sun - Democrat as required by law. All bids shall be scaled and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may lot a contract to the best responsible bidder, and the hoard of Commissioners shrill reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall net become legally obligated to purchase same until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchnse contract. SECTION 4.
