HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 101, Ordinance Number 73-3-771101 ORDINANCE NO. 73-3-771 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, WITH FLORENCE & HUTCHESON INC., FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Florence & Hutcheson, Inc., has submitted to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a contract for engineering services to be rendered in the design and construction of certain street improvements in Paducah, Kentucky, which proposed contract was received and filed with the Minutes of this Board on February 27, 1973, and WHEREAS, said proposed contract has been found to be in acceptable form for the services required, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE.CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute a contract between the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and Florence & Hutcheson, Inc. for engineering services in connection with the design and construction of various street improvements in Paducah, Kentucky, said contract being verbatim and in all respects identical to the proposed contract which was received and filed with the Minutes of the Board of commissioners of February 27, 1973, and which proposed contract is adopted herein by reference. SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
