HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-8-6403123 ORDINANCE NO. 2001-8- 6 403 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED ZONE CHANGE FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE DOWNTOWN WATERFRONT AREA, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution passed by the Paducah Planning Commission on July 16, 2001, and entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED ZONING CHANGE FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE DOWNTOWN WATERFRONT AREA," be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the Downtown Waterfront Area be, and it is hereby, changed from M-1 (Light Industrial Zone), to B-2, (Downtown Business Zone): Beginning at a point at the intersection of centerlines of Clark Street and South 3rd Street; thence in a northerly direction with the centerline of South 3rd Street a distance of 412.5' to a point; said point located at the intersection of centerlines of South 3rd Street and Washington Street; thence in a westerly direction with the centerline of Washington Street a distance of 206.25' to a point; said point being the center of Washington Street; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 206.25' to a point; thence in an easterly direction a distance of 206.25' to a point; said point being the center of South 3rd Street; thence in a northerly direction with the centerline of South 3rd Street a distance of 434.24' to a point; said point being the center of South 3rd Street; thence in an easterly direction a distance of 217.875' to a point; thence in a southerly direction with the centerline of a 23.25' alley a distance of 202.74' to a point; said point being the centerline Kentucky Street; thence in an easterly direction with the centerline of Kentucky Street a distance of 327.625' to a point; said point being the center of Kentucky Street; thence in a northerly direction for a distance of 90.75' to a point; thence in an easterly direction for a distance of 81.5' to a point; said point being the center of Maiden Alley; thence in a northerly direction with the centerline of Maiden Alley for a distance of 200.0' to a point; said point being the center of Maiden Alley; thence in an easterly direction for a distance of 214.5' to a point; said point being the center of Water Street; thence in a southerly direction with the centerline of Water Street for a distance of 703.82' to a point; said point being the intersection of Water Street centerline and the floodwall; thence in a southwesterly direction with the floodwall a distance of 310.4' to a point; said point being the floodwall; thence in a southerly direction following the floodwall for a distance of 135.6' to a point; said point being the intersection of the floodwall and Clark Street centerline; thence in a westerly direction with the centerline of Clark Street for a distance of 137.25' to a point; said point being the intersection of centerlines of Clark Street and South 2nd Street; thence in a southerly direction with the centerline of South 2nd Street for a distance of 489.0' to a point; said point being the intersection of centerlines of South 2nd Street and Adams Street; thence in a westerly direction for a distance of 618.75' to a point; said 124 point being the center of Adams Street; thence in a northerly direction for a distance of 488.71' to a point; said point being the center of Clark Street; thence in an easterly direction with the centerline of Clark Street a distance of 206.25' to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5.
