ORDINANCE NO. 72-4-635
AN ORDINANCE AVENDING ARTICLE XI, AND SECTIONS 2-210; 2-211;
2-212 AND REPEALING SECTION 2-13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Article:XPT "Director and Assistant Director
of Public Works", be amended and reordained so that -said title and
Article shall hereafter read as follows:
"Article XI. DIRECTOR OF STREET DEPARTMENT AND DIRECTOR OF
REFUSE DEPARTMENT"
SECTION 2. That Section 2-210 "Positions created", be amended
and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall
hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 2-210. Positions created.
There are hereby created the positions in the City to be known
as director of street department and director of refuse department."
SECTION 3. That Section 2-211. "Supervision and duties of director",
be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained
shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 2-211. Supervision and duties of director of street department.
The position of director of street department shall be under the
direction and supervision of the city manager. The person occupying
said position shall be charged with the supervision of all work
connected with the maintenance of streets, sanitary sewers, storn
sewers and the equipment assigned to the department, and such other
related work as may be required by the city manager.
SECTION 4. That Section 2-212 "Supervision and duties of assistant"
be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained
shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 2-212. Supervision and duties of director of refuse department.
The position of director of refuse department shall be under the
direction and supervision of the city manager. The person occupying
said position shall be charged with the supervision of all work connected
with the collection and disposal of refuse and such other related work
as may be required by the city manager."

SECTION 5. That Section 2-213 "Director not under civil service",
be, and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. Section 1 amends the title of Article XI, Chapter 2
of the Code of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky. Sections 2, 3, 4
and 5 amend Section 1 of an ordinance dated June 8, 1959, which was
last amended by Section 1 of an ordinance adopted July 21, 1964.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
