HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 970, No Resolution Number970 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PROCLAIMER CERTIFICATE NO. 1 RELATIVE TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND CONFORMANCE WITH LOCAL STANDARDS OR STANDARDS NECESSARY TO SUPPORT CONCENTRATED CODE ENFORCEMENT OBJECTIVES FOR PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE MECHANICSBURG CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MECHANICSBURG CODE ENFORCEMENT AREA BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Proclaimer Certificate No. 1 relative to technical specifications and conformance with local standards or standards necessary to support concentrated code enforcement objectives for project improvements, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, be, and the same is hereby, approved. SECTION 2. That the Executive Director of the Mechanicsburg Code Enforcement Program be, and she is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for public improvements in the Mechanicsburg Code Enforcement Program Project Area, as are scheduled for the action year 1972. In advertising for such bids, the project shall be described, and the prospective bidder shall be advised of such procedures and requirements for obtaining contract documents, proposal guarantees, wage rates, and the reservation of owner's rights. The invitation for bids shall read substantially as follows : "The Mechanicsburg Code Enforcement Agency of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, will receive bids for the construction of site improvements until 2 p.m., CST on the 20th day of April, 1972, at the offices of the Mechanicsburg Code Enforcement Agency, 2501 Powell Street, Paducah, Kentucky, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud." SECTION 3. The Executive Director will advertise for such bids by complying with all requirements of Chapter 424 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes. SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and retroactive to April 5, 1972.
