FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE BRUSIiCHIPPER FOR USE IN THE 'PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Easley Equipment Company, Inc. for sale to the City of one (1) brushchipper for use in the Public Works Department in the net amount of $4,545.00, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and the advertisement for bids as was authorized by a resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on March 7, 1972 and as contained in the bid of Easley Equipment Company, Inc. dated March 13, 1972. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Easley Equipment Company, Inc. for the sale to the City of the property and equipment as authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
