HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 941, Ordinance Number 72-2-616941 ORDINANCE NO. 72-2-616 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION OF A MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY," WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 6, 1939, AND LAST AMENDED ON JUNE 30, 1970 WHEREAS a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Community College (formerly Paducah Junior College) has been created by the resignation of John Wright Polk, and it being necessary to fill said vacancy, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 6, 1939, and last amended on June 30, 1970, be amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That Mrs. Robert Hassman be appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of the Paducah Community College to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of John Wright Polk, so that said Board of Trustees (appointed by the City) as now constituted shall be composed of John G. Russell, T. S. Waller, Marshall E. Nemer, Dr. Leon Higdon, H.ward Z. Gray, William A. Feiler, Beasley Vaughn, Jackā€¢ Rottgering, George Crounse, E. W. Whiteside, Dr. Walter R. Johnson and Mrs. Robert Hassman. Said Board of Trustees shall control the municipal college in the City of Paducah which has been established pursuant to the provisions of KRS 165.160 to 165,200, and are to have all the powers given to them pursuant to the provisions of said statutes." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
