HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 911, No Resolution NumberA RESOLUTION ADOPTING A MOVING EXPENSE SCHEDULE FOR RELOCATIONS OF DISPLACED PERSONS DUE TO FEDERAL GRANT-IN-AID PROGRAMS IN OPERATION IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS, a schedule of payments for moving expenses incurred by individuals required to be relocated as a result of Federal Grant - In -Aid programs has been established for the State of Kentucky, and is known as FHWA Notice -RW -20, dated July 12, 1971, and WHEREAS, all cities in the Commonwealth of Kentucky participating in Federal Grant -In -Aid programs are required to adopt the schedule, and WHEREAS, after July 1, 1972 relocation payments.will be shared between the federal agencies and the local governments on the basis of the approved schedule and amendments thereto -approved by the Federal Authorities. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That FHWA Notice -RW -20, dated July 12, 1971, providing a moving expense schedule approved for the State of Kentucky, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be, and the same is hereby, approved and adopted for use in all Federal Grant -In -Aid programs requiring relocation payments in the City of Paducah, Kentucky. SECTION 2. The City of Paducah, Kentucky, further agrees to pay its proportionate share of any relocation expenses required under any Federal Grant -In -Aid programs in operation in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, from and after July 1, 1972. SECTION 3. That all amendments and modifications of FHWA Notice - RW -20 approved by the Federal Authorities and approved and adopted by the Commonwealth of Kentucky shall automatically apply to and be adopted by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, unless specifically rejected by action of the Board of Commissioners. SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
