HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 881, Ordinance Number 71-12-582881 ORDINANCE NO. 71-12-582 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NORTH 8TH STREET BETWEEN HARRIS AND CAMPBELL STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on December 1, 1971, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF NORTH 8TH STREET BETWEEN HARRIS AND CAMPBELL STREETS", be adopted as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Medium Density Residential Zone to B-3 General Business Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of Campbell Street with the center line of North 8th Street; thence in a westerly direction along and with the center line of North 8th Street a distance of 410 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of North 8th Street with the center line of Harris Street; thence with the center line of Harris Street in a southerly direction a distance of 72.5 feet; thence in an easterly direction along and with the south property line of the 8th Street Tabernacle Baptist Church, if extended, a distance of 205 feet to the center line of a 30 foot public alley, thence in a southerly direction with the center line of said alley a distance of 42.5 feet; thence in an easterly direction along and with the south property line of Elizabeth K. Boynton, if extended, a distance of 205 feet to the center line of Campbell Street; thence in a northerly direction along and with the center line of Campbell Street a distance of 115 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this brdinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all 882 other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
