HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 865, No Ordinance Number* AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 3-44, 3-45, 3-46, 3-47, 3-49 AND 3-51 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section.3-44, "Sale of liquor for on -premises consumption", be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 3-44. Sale of liquor for on -premises consumption. For the privilege of selling spirituous, vinous and malt liquors at retail by the glass for consumption on the premises, not including beer, the semi-annual license fee required to be paid shalt. be $300.00. SECTION 2. That Section 3-45, "Sale of liquor by package for off -premises consumption", be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 3-45. Sale of liquor by package for off -premises consumption. For the privilege of operating a dispensary from which spirituous, vinous and malt liquors are sold at retail by the package for consumption off the premises, the semiannual license fee shall be $250.00." SECTION 3. That Section 3-46, "Retail sale of beer", be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 3-46. Retail sale of beer. For the privilege of selling beer at retail by the glass or bottle, either for consumption on or off the premises, the semiannual license fee required to be paid shall be $60.00." SECTION 4. That Section 3-47, "Wholesale liquor dealer", be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 3-47. Wholesale liquor dealer. For the privilege of storing, transporting and selling spirituous, vinous and distilled spirits at wholesale, the semiannual license fee shall be $500.00. SECTION 5. That Section 3-49, "Rectifying, blending or flavoring liquor", be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: 865 866 "Sec. 3-49. Rectifying, blending or flavoring liquor. For the privilege of rectifying, blending or flavoring spirituous liquor, the semiannual license fee shall be $750.00. SECTION 6. That Section 3-51, "Fee required for each business location and classification;.exception", be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 3-51. Fee required for each business location and classifi- License fees in the amounts provided for by this division shall be charged for each location in which any person engages in any classification of business specified under this article, and if more than one classifi= cation of business is conducted at any location, a license fee shall be charged for each of the privileges exercised." SECTION 7. Section 1 above amends Section 5 of an ordinance pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages dated May 14, 1940. Section 2 above amends Section 6 of said ordinance: Section 3 amends Section 7 of said ordinance. Section 4 above amends Section 8 of said ordinance and was last amended by Section l of an ordinance amending said ordinance dated December 30, 1941. Section 5 amends Section 10 of said ordinance. Section 6 amends Section 12 of said ordinance. SECTION 8. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and shall be applicable to all new and renewed licenses issued pursuant hereto.
