ORDINANCE NO. 71-11-563
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12-19, SUB -SECTIONS (a), (e)
AND (f), AND ADDING THERETO A NEW SUB -SECTION, (g), OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sub -section (a) of Section 12-19. Number, rank
and salaries of members of the Fire Department be, and the same is hereby
amended and reordained so that said section and sub -section as amended
and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 12-19. Number, rank and salaries of members.
(a) The number and rank of the members of the fire department
of the city and their monthly salaries, provided such salaries are not
changed by any annual apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall
be as follows:

SECTION 2. That sub -section (e) of Section 12-19 of the Code
of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that
said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"(e) Alarm Superintendent shall be paid at the same rate per
month as provided for the inspector."
SECTION 3. That sub -section (f) of Section 12-19 ofthe Code
of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that
said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"(f) Lieutenants shall be paid at the same rate per month as
provided for the inspector."
SECTION 4. That Section 12-19 of the Code of Ordinances City
of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained by adding thereto a new
sub -section, Sub -section (g), which shall hereafter read as follows:

"(g) Firefighters shall be paid at the rate of $530.00 per
month for the first six (6) months; at the expiration of six (6) months
of service with the city the rate of pay shall be %540.00 per month;
at the end of one year of service the rate of pay shall be $550.00 per
month; at the end of the second year of service the rate of pay shall be
$560.00 per month; for all service between the third and fifth years,
the rate of pay shall be $570.00 per month; for service between the fifth
and eibhth year, the rate of pay shall be $575.00 per month; for all service
between the eighth and eleventh year the rate of pay shall be $580.00 per
month; for service between the eleventh and fourteenth year, the rate of
pay shall be $585.00 per month, and for all service beyond fourteen (14)
years the rate of pay shall be $590.00 per month."
SECTION 5. Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 above amend Section 1 of an
ordinance enacted December 11, 1951, and which was last amended by
Ordinance No. 71-5-458, which was enacted on May 11, 1971.
SECTUON 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
