HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 827, Ordinance Number 71-10-560827 ORDINANCE NO. 71-10-560 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $6,000.00 TO THE PADUCAH BOARD OF EDUCATION VOCATIONAL HANDICAPPED PROGRAM FOR THE CITY'S AGREED PORTION OF A FEDERAL GRANT-IN-ATD VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM FOR HANDICAPPED PEOPLE TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE PADUCAH BOARD OF EDUCATION, AND FUNDED JOINTLY BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE COUNTY OF McCRACKEN BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager and City Treasurer be, and they hereby are, authorized to pay to the Paducah Board of Education Vocational Handicapped Program the sum of $6,000.00 from the City's 1971 Contingency Fund for the City's agreed portion for local contribution to a Federal grant-in-aid program to be administered by the Paducah Board of Education and funded by the City of Paducah in an amount of $6,000.00 and by the County of McCracken in an amount of $4,000.00. SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
