HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 823, Ordinance Number 71-11-557823 V ORDINANCE NO. 71-11-557 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SANCO CORPORATION FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) 1972 TRUCK WITH COMPACTOR FOR USE IN THE REFUSE DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION I. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Sanco Corporation for sale to the City of one (1) new 1972 truck with compactor for use in the refuse division of the Public Works Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the total sum of $22,942.00, said purchase to be made on a thirty --six (36) month lease with option to buy, at a monthly charge of $697.94, said bid complying with the specifications as adopted by resolution of the Board of Commissioners on October 12, 1971 authorizing bids, and as contained in the bid of Sanco Corporation dated October 22, 1971. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Sanco Corporation for the purchase of the property and equipment as set out in Section 1 above in accordance with the provisions of said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
