HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 805, No Resolution Number805 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE MOBILE CRIME UNIT FOR USE IN THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to advertise for bids for sale to the City of one mobile crime unit for use in the Paducah Police Department, said unit having the following specifications: Minimum 302 Cubic V-8 Engine Van type chassis Minimum wheelbase of 108 inches Exterior overall length minimum of 189 inches Exterior overall height minimum 77 inches Interior Height minimum 53 inches Interior width minimum 67 inches Interior length minimum 165 inches Windowless cargo doors on the right and left sides Windowless cargo door width minimum 50 inches Windowless cargo door height minimum 48 inches Rear cargo door with ventilation window Three speed automatic oil cooler transmission Power brakes Power steering Air conditioner Fiberglass insulation on interior walls and headliner throughout Twin seats Rubber insulated floor mats throughout Retracting step on rear door Highoutput heater and defroster Western type mirrors on both sides Spotlights mounted on left and right sides Cabinets: 1/16" steel or aluminum welded or bolted to truck at base and top Solid sides and back Cabinets on right side cargo doors facing curb Cabinets on left side cargo door facing street Evidence table: h" plywood covered with Formica Small interior light installed over table Welded or bolted to frame, 30" from floor Storage Bin.- 1/16" in:1/16" steel or aluminum welded or bolted to truck at base and top Top drawers on bottom and open shelves at top Stool: 1/16" steel or aluminum welded or bolted to floor with adjustable seat Cabinet lights - left and right side doors External 177 V. Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for the unit bid upon, including all applicable taxes, and each bidder shall state the approximate amount of time required for delivery following the execution of a contract. Each bidder shall displat the unit bid upon to the City Manager and Board of Commissioners at the City Hall upon request. The vehicle shall be a 1972 model. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by notice posted up at the City Hall door and by publication pursuant to ERS Chapter 424. No bid shall be opened within ten days from the date on which the resolution is adopted, and no bid shall be received 8071 after the hour fixed for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time for opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The City shall have the right to refuse and reject any and all bids. SECTION 3.: This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
