FOR SALE.TO THE CITY OF APPROXIMATELY 40,000 SQUARE YARDS OF BITUMINOUS SLURRY SURFACE AND INSTALLATION ON CITY OF PADUCAH STREETS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Ryan Paving Company, Inc. for the sale to the City of approximately 40,000 square yards of bituminous slurry surface for City of Paducah streets as may be designated by the City Manager, and for the application and installation of such seal, for the unit price of $0.25 per square yard or a total estimated cost of $10,000.00, and said bid complying with the specifications as set out in the Resolution dated August 9, 1971 adopted by the Board of Commissioners authorizing bids, and as con- tained In !;he bid of Ryan Paving Company, Inc. dated August 20, 1971. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Ryan Paving Company, Inc. for the purchase of the material and service as set out in Section 1 above according to said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
