HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 737, Ordinance Number 71-8-527737 i' L - ORDINANCE NO. 71-8-527 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-77 "EMPLOYEE ASSESSMENTS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Appointive Employees' Pension Fund has recommended to this Board that employee assessments of monthly salaries for contribution to the pension fund be raised from three per cent (3/) to five per cent (5/), NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 10-77 "Employee assessments," of the Code of Ordinances City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and re - ordained so that said section shall hrerafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-77. Employee Assessments. Each employee is hereby assessed Five per cent (5/) of his monthly salary or wages beginning August 23, 1971, and such assessment shall be paid into and credited to the pension fund by the city treasurer, to be held in trust subject to the orders of the board of trustees." SECTION 2. Section 1 amends Section 22 of an ordinance adopted December 2, 1947 pertaining to the Appointive Employees' Pension Fund, and which section was last amended by Section 1 of an ordinance dated February 23, 1949. SECTION 3.
