ORDINANCE NO. 71-8-526
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR THE SALE
TO THE CITY OF ONE NEW 1971 MAVERICK FOUR -DOOR VEHICLE FOR USE BY THE
INSPECTION DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Allan Rhodes,
Inc. for sale to the City of one (1) new 1971 Maverick four -door auto-
mobile for the cash price of $2,082.54, less an allowance for a trade-in
of a 1966 Chevrolet two -door automobile for $200.00, for the net
purchase price of $1,882.54, said bid meeting the specifications as
set out in the resolution authorizing such bids, which was passed by
the Board of Commissioners on May 25, 1971, and as contained in the
bid of Allan Rhodes, Inc. dated June 7, 1971.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Allan Rhodes, Inc. for the purchase of the
equipment as set out in Section 1 above, and according to said reso-
lution and said bid.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1)
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and
effect immediately thereafter.
