HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 735, Ordinance Number 71-8-525735 ORDINANCE NO. 71-8-525 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF URBAN RENEWAL AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY IN AND TO LOTS 4 AND 5 IN BLOCK NO. 1 OF VAUGHN'S ADDITION FOR THE SUM OF $466.15, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency for the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in the amount of $466.15 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in the following described land in said city, be accepted, said land being described as follows: Lots 4 and 5 in Block 1 of Vaughn's Addition, Plat Book A, pages 36 & 37 in McCracken County Court Clerk's office; fronting 80 feet on north side of Yeiser Street and being 110 feet east of Tully Avenue, as shown on page 17 of Block Map Book No. 6 in the office of the City Engineer. Being the same land (Prost Leech property) conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by R. H. Overstreet, Acting Treasurer, by deed dated May 6, 1968, and of record in Deed Book 500, page 207 in the aforesaid Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $466.15 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, all the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
