HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 721, Ordinance Number 71-8-520721 ORDINANCE NO. 71-8-520 AN ORDINANCE TEMPORARILY CLOSING SOUTH 25TH STREET BETWEEN BROADWAY AND KENTUCKY AVENUE DURING THE CONSTRUCTION AND EXTENSION AT WESTERN BAPTIST HOSPITAL WHEREAS it has been found by this Board that the expansion and construction work now being performed at Western baptist Hospital has created a hazardous condition in South 25th Street between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue, and WHEREAS it has been found that it is necessary to operate heavy equipment and cranes and load and unload material in and around the right-of-way of said South 25th Street, and WHEREAS this Board finds that in the interest of the welfare and safety of the general public using the thoroughfare the street should be temporarily closed pending construction of the hospital improvement, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That all of the right-of-way constituting South 25th Street between the south line of Broadway on the north and the north line of Kentucky Avenue on the south, be, and the same is hereby, temporarily closed for public use during construction of improvements and additions to Western Baptist Hospital and for a period of not exceeding one year from the effective date of this ordinance, or until this ordinance is repealed by action of this Board, whichever is earlier. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
