HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 720, Ordinance Number 71-8-519720/ V ORDINANCE NO. 71-8-519 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS & ELECTRONICS, INC. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) F.M. TWO-WAY MOBILE RADIO UNIT FOR USE BY THE CRIMINALISTICS COORDINATOR IN THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the -City of Paducah accept the bid of Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. for sale to the City of one (1) new F.M. two-way mobile radio unit for use by the criminalistics coordinator in the Paducah Police Department, said bid being in the net amount of $1,155.00 including all equipment, installation and taxes,, and said bid having specifications as set out in the resolution dated July 13, 1971 adopted by the Board of Commissioners authorizing bids, and as contained in the bid of Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. dated July 26, 1971. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. for the purchase of the property set out in Section 1 above according to said resolution and said bid. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
